Most people who make resolutions to get fit or live a healthier lifestyle don’t follow through on their commitment. They can pay the gym membership, wear the right clothes, follow the right instagramers or listen to ‘Eye Of The Tiger’ on repeat, but without this ONE vital ingredient they will fail. To truly follow through on achieving our goals we need coaches and friends to guide, motivate and support us. Without it, people don’t stay accountable to the journey and they give up. We’ve all seen it a thousand times. From your very first Free Week Trial at CrossFit Q you will find an inspiring community of people who we are invested in your fitness journey from day one. You’ll find a family.

My journey into CrossFit wasn't "typical." I grew up overweight with very unhealthy eating habits and hated exercise. During my senior year of high school, I realized it was time to make a change.
I started slowly eating better quality foods and working out (mostly zumba to start). I started seeing progress and loved the healthier me I was becoming. It wasn’t until 2013 when my sister introduced me to CrossFit that I truly fell in love with fitness. CrossFit allowed me to focus on what I could DO and being STRONG, for the first time in my life. It was empowering and I was addicted. I started coaching in 2015 and have been ever since! I love being able to inspire others to exercise, instructing my athletes how to move properly and safely, and pushing them to reach new goals or do something that they never thought they would be able to do. I am passionate about health as a whole, which not only includes exercise but also sleep, hydration, nutrition, mindset, & so much more. I am a nutrition coach & started my own business: Quads Nutrition. Dedicating myself to better the lives of other people through fitness & nutrition is truly my passion.

The things that I love are few: My Wife and Daughters and Grandchildren, Family, Our (4) Great Danes, and CrossFit Q.
I have come to realize that CrossFit is truly for anyone with the desire to be better and pursue excellence. I have witnessed amazing things since we opened up the Q in 2014. Not only the many athletic pursuits of PR’s and Muscle Ups, but life changing things such as fighting cancer, birthing twins you didn’t think you could have, curing diabetes, fighting depression, anxiety and eating disorders as well as drastic weight loss and finally learning how to “embrace the suck” not only in the gym but in life. I have made great friends and enjoyed camaraderie rarely found. Our Community is special and I couldn’t be prouder to be a coach here and I take it very seriously. I believe strongly that CrossFit can be the key to a long and healthy life and I’d love to share it with you. “We sit collectively in unique possession of an elegant solution to the world’s most vexing problem(Chronic Disease). And it may be so elegant that it’s optimal.” – Greg Glassman

I started CrossFit back in college, where I eventually persuaded my family to give this thing a try. We all loved it so much we decided to pursue a dream and open our own affiliate.
It’s been where I spend the majority of my time ever since, and it’s awesome! I was a gymnast for most of my life. I love all gymnastics movements and teaching them to help my members improve! I love to compete, and in 2016 I was on Team CrossFit Love at The Mid-Atlantic Regionals, and I qualified in olympic weightlifting for the American Open in 2016 & 2017. I am also a certified USA Sports Performance Coach. At the end of the day competing is fun, but my heart will always be for the community and coaching in CrossFit. I live for the firsts. Someone’s first pull up or muscle up or rope climb or just having a movement click for the first time. I am here to try and get people healthy to live their best life. I want to help unlock people’s potential, help them realize how strong and fit they can be. This place will change you mentally and physically – both for the better. Our community is one that’s irreplaceable and I’m lucky to call myself a coach at the Q everyday.

I have been an athlete all my life, and sports have shaped who I am today. I played football, baseball and wrestled from the age of five all the way through high school.
I then continued to play football at the collegiate level for three years and wrestled for one year, all while discovering Crossfit Q in the winter of my sophomore year at college and was hooked instantly. I would attend classes at the Q while I was home, and when I was at school, I found South Mountain Crossfit. I graduated from Muhlenberg College with a dual degree in Accounting and Finance and have Accounting experience with a Big Four Firm. I have always been one to want to help others, so coaching came naturally. This is a byproduct of growing up playing sports, being a captain or in a position of leadership allowed me to enhance these skills over time. You can find me spending my spare time in the gym either working out or assisting others in pursuing their athletic goals. My current goals are to qualify in the Top 100 in the Mid-Atlantic Regional and hopefully take a chance to qualify as an individual within the next couple of years. My current role in the coaching staff at Crossfit Q is to run the On-Ramp Program for our new members and I couldn’t be more excited to do so. The most important aspect for me within Crossfit, and has always been important to me, is movement QUALITY. Being able to perform movements correctly, meeting the movement standards and going through the entire ROM are imperative to the safety of the athlete and increasing longevity.

Athletics and competition have been a focal point in my life ever since I can remember. At six years of age, I began playing the three sports that I would continue to play up through high school: football, basketball, and baseball
Baseball, through the guidance of my father, became my first love and continues to exemplify the greatest lessons sports can teach a kid. Like many sports, it taught me the value of preparation, strategy, teamwork, and the ability to forget about a negative play and move on to the next one. As Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams once stated, “Baseball is the only field of endeavor where a man can succeed three times out of ten and be considered a good performer.” In a sport where there is likely to be more unsuccessful outcomes than successful ones, it was instilled in me early on that there will always be another play, at bat, or pitch, and that one cannot focus on the past if they were to be successful. Fast forward twelve years to the conclusion of my competitive athletic career in Quakertown Legion Baseball. My sister, Sara, introduced me to CrossFit. I immediately fell in love with the idea of continuing my life as an “athlete” and after only a week or two at CrossFit Q, I began my four-year journey at the University of Alabama where I dropped into the closest box to campus, CrossFit Innovate, the first day there. I was welcomed with open arms by the students who had already been members and the owner, Josh Giambalvo. Finding a family at Innovate was one of the best experiences I had at Alabama and something I will cherish forever. During my sophomore year, I was approached about becoming an intern/apprentice to coach my final two years at school. This was an opportunity that transformed my thoughts on a career and revealed my true passion of helping others become their best versions of themselves through a healthy, fit lifestyle. After I graduated from college, I began coaching at CrossFit Q and have been ever since. I hope to continue to grow as a coach in the CrossFit community by completing my CrossFit Level 2 Certificate Course in the near future.
